Jack Watson has studied the martial arts for almost thirty years. He is now a third dan blackbelt in Choikwangdo and a fifth dan blackbelt in freestyle karate awarded by the legendary Dave Turton. He is also a second dan in Ooi's Taekwondo and a second dan in iai batto jutsu (samurai sword fighting) awarded by Mochizuki Sensei. He has studied Kung Fu, Capoeira, Shotokan Karate and Kali (with the great Ralph Jones). He was taught Okinawan weapons by Sensei David Dyer who studied in Japan for many years. He has attended seminars by martial arts legends like Geoff Thompson, Peter Consterdine, Dave Turton and Grand Master Kwang Jo Choi the founder of Choikwangdo.
He started the Orpington Choikwangdo school in April 1990 at the Crofton Halls, Orpington.
